I am guilty of being neglectful! Sometimes life gets so crazy that I need to neglect something, in this case it was the blog...please forgive me! Here are some cute projects I've been working on. Enjoy!!

Here is what Cheryl made for my good friend Maria and her new little baby boy. I put together the design and she stitched it up! Together I think we picked a real winner with this set!

While I'm busy thinking up the next contest, here is a picture of a shirt I made from the Servant pattern found at sugarcityjournal.blogspot.com. Their patterns are so easy to follow and guaranteed to make a little girls heart melt! The picture was taken with my iphone and I caught the light in a interesting way.

Funky Monkey Baby Quilt

I was browsing through pictures today and I came across a picture I took of a quilt I made. Now this was my first quilt ever. I made it for my nephew and gave it to him right after he was born. I do have to confess I had my mom finish the bias trim around the outside edge. Overall I think it was a good effort. My friend Carrie (the quilting queen) helped my come up with the design. Without her encouragement I don't think i would've been able to finish it!

Who knows maybe I'll have to do a couple more for a niece and nephew who will be born soon.

cooking's a breeze half kids apron

So I had this idea one night, I wanted to see if I could make a kids 1/2 apron. Not just any 1/2 apron one of the frilly fun ones that have a 50's feel to it. So I took out my tape measure and made this pattern up. I think it came out better than i anticipated, I'm now working of variations of this aprons. Look for the matching adult apron soon!

Ok so recently purchased some lunch bags, after looking at the design I thought I could do that myself. So here is my experiment...a laminated lunch bag. My older sister asked me to do a shirt for my Nieces birthday, she's turning 5 and they are taking her to Disneyland to celebrate it. (Happy Birthday Makenna!) I thought the shirts I did turned out cute! There is one for Makenna and one for my other Niece Carly, I did a picture of a little girl wearing mouse ears on the left side over the chest. On the back of Makennas shirt is says "I'm 5 today!".
